I hail from sunny California where I grew up and where I also earned my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, with a double major and a minor.

I have an M.A. in Professional Development and am certified in the state of Texas to teach ELA 7-12. I’m also trained to teach Pre-AP and AP classes through Rice University.

My love for teaching and literature has allowed me to teach English for eleven years, with over fifteen years of experience in education. As an honorary resident of Houston, I have had the privilege of teaching at Houston Quran Academy for six years and counting. My goal is to put a book in the hands of every student who walks through my door, and in the process, grow their love of reading!
