Student Council

Student Council works to provide high school students the ability to practice leadership skills by elected officers, voted in by the general student body.  Also, students have an opportunity to provide service to elementary, middle and high school students.  Student council also serves as the voice of the student body, where every student is heard.  The council allows students to become involved in school, community, leadership and decision making.

Student council members meet with the adviser every week and make their own decisions when planning activities for the student body. Students lead projects for the general student body that cultivates a sense of community and school spirit. In addition, the Student Council serves as role models for good citizenship, character and student leadership.

Each year HQA elects a new Student Council body. Candidates are nominated by other classmates or their teachers. Each candidate is allowed to campaign for herself or himself. Student Council members are voted in by all the students in the school.
